 10.    iTEP: International Test of English Proficiency

 

 

In California 2002, iTEP exam was established by Canoga Park, in order to assess people whose native language is not English of their English skills. Exam consists of Listening, Speaking Reading, and Writing sections. The test itself consists of grammatical problems. Sequoia Group has been authorized as Korea’s test center in 2012, and has been providing services to register, conduct, and report scores to the test takers.

 

Credibility of iTEP

Ø  iTEP SLATE is requested from boarding schools in US to use as reference to admission

11.   ITBS:  Iowa Test of Basic Skills

 

 

 

①      Created by professors from College of Education in University of Iowa to evaluate student’s academic ability

②      Initial purpose of this test was for professors to find an ideal teaching method for students in Iowa, which later on became a nationwide test in US

③      In 2001, when George Bush adopted the bill, ‘No Child Left Behind’, schools, and students were assessed through ITBS and other standardized test to make decisions on financial support to the school, and giving incentives to teachers
