스위스 Geneva의 EU Business School의 외국 학생 선발과 홍보를 담당하고 있는 Kenneth Quah는 대만계 스위스인으로 1년에 1-2번씩 한국을 방문한다. 다음 달 11월16일 방한 예정인데, 이번의 방문은 인천글로벌캠퍼스에 자리 잡고 있는 뉴욕주립대학교와 금호공과대학교와 교환학생에 관련된 MOU를 체결하고,국내의 외국어고등학교와 국제학교를 방문하여 EU Business School에 관한 학교설명회를 개최하기 위함이다.
독일, 스위스, 스페인의 캠퍼스를 경험할 수 있는 EU Business School
EU Business School은 스위스의 Geneva, Montreux, 스페인의 Barcelona, 독일의 Munich에 캠퍼스를 두고 있는 경영학으로 특화된 학부 3년, 대학원 1년, MBA 1년, 온라인 MBA, EMBA, 고등학생과 학부생을 위한 International Summer School 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.
1973년에 개교한 Eu Business School은 100개국에서 온 학생들이 4개의 캠퍼스에서 공부하고 있는데, 2개 국어 이상을 구사하고 있는 학생이 전체의 98%를 차지하고 있다. EU와 Russia의 학생들이 48%, 미국 학생이 19%, 아시아 학생이 16%, 중동 지역 학생이 11%를 차지하여 그야말로 다국적, 다인종 학생들이 작은 지구촌을 형성하고 있다. 모든 수업은 영어로 진행되면, 각각의 나라에 거주할 때 스페인어, 불어, 독어를 배우고 그들의 문화를 접해 볼 수 있다.
학생들은 각각의 캠퍼스에서 1년씩 공부하고 다른 캠퍼스에 이동하여 수업을 진행할 수 있다. 힌편 EU Business School은 EU 수업을 받고 특정한 조건을 만족하면 영국의 University of Derby, 런던에 위치한 University of Roehampton, 스페인의 Universidad Catolica de Murcia와 복수학위를 수여 받는다.
규모가 작은 경영대학교이기 때문에 소규모의 클래서에서 교수와 밀접한 접촉을 하며 수업을 하기 때문에 현장에서 일하고 있는 교수들로부터 생생한 현장 교육과 함께 현장에서의 네트워크를 구축할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
교수들의 강의뿐 아니라, 초청강사의 세미나, 현장 실습, 인텁, 회사 방문, 특정 회사로부터 프로젝트 임무가 주어져, 학교를 졸업한 후 바로 현장에 투입되어 일할 수 있는 능력을 갖추게 된다. 특히 매년 학생들이 Nestle, Hublot, Adecco, Credit Suiss 등의 회사를 방문하는 프로그램은 학생들이 매우 선호하는 프로그램으로 업계의 실력자들을 마주할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되고 있으며, Cofi Annan을 비롯하여 전 스위스 대통령 등의 초청강사로 학생들을 위한 강연과 세미나를 개최한다.

1학기 13주간 진행되며 TOEFL 60점 이상이면 지원할 수 있는데 영어뿐 아니라, 경영학 수업과 필요한 기초 학문을 수강한다. 수료 후 EU Business School의 학부에 입학할 수 있다.
